Aim: This is a seven-day practical assessment under an RYA Examiner for the RYA/MCA Certificate of Competence. A basic knowledge of spinnaker handling is expected.

Eligibility: Minimum sea time as laid down in RYA G15/98 log book, Coastal Skipper certificate, VHF, and first aid certificates. Applications will not normally be accepted from students who do not hold a shorebased course completion certificate.
